# Restricted Countries and International Payment Types

## Restricted Countries

Rho does not support payments to the following countries. For details and notes on specific categories and payment types, please reference the tables below.

### General restriction:

All payments to and from these countries are unsupported. Owners from these countries are also ineligible to apply for an account (for more information, check out our article on [ineligible locations](https://www.rho.co/help-center/banking/can-i-open-a-rho-account-if-i-dont-live-in-the-u-s)).

Card transactions originating from or directed to merchants in these countries are not permitted.

## Industry Restrictions for International Payments

Currently, entities holding an account at Rho that fall under the following industries are not permitted to send international payments:

- Weapons / military-grade security

- Pawnbrokers

- Political organizations

- Precious metals and stones

- Adult entertainment

- Drug paraphernalia

- CBD and related products

- Carbon credits

- Cryptocurrencies

- Gambling

- Ponzi / pyramid schemes

- Firms involved in the servicing of illegal goods/services including but not limited to: counterfeit goods/trademark infringement, human trafficking, child labor, prostitution.


Additionally, please keep in mind that international payments sent to recipients in these industries may be rejected or subject to additional compliance screenings.
